At DBS we are dedicated to nurturing well-balanced and independent students who are also able to work together effectively in a team. Throughout our PE programme, we focus on the physical, social and competitive development of our students. These are:

Students will develop their personal practical ability, knowledge and understanding of tactics, strategies and rules, and study the theoretical side to the subject.
Students will spend 2 x 45 minutes in practical activities, and 2 x 45 minutes working on developing their knowledge and understanding of the theory aspects.
The course has the following weightings;
• Practical-60% (12% coursework based)
• Theory-40% (three sections covered: Exercise and Training, Safety Aspects and Risk Assessment, and Applied Anatomy and Physiology).
Students will be expected to complete homework to support their theory work and where appropriate practical activities.
