Newsflash! DBS students score Highest Marks in the WORLD, Middle East & Qatar!

Doha British School is delighted to announce that 5 Year 12 students have been awarded with certificates for 'Highest Mark in the World', 'Highest Mark in the Middle East' and three 'Highest Mark in Qatar' from the June 2017 GCSE examinations.

Samah Abdeljaleel is the world's number one in GCSE Arabic; Jean Maurice Meus is the Middle East's number one in GCSE Computer Science; Manya Girdhar is Qatar's number one in International GCSE Further Pure Mathematics; and both Marcelo Saracino and Roberto Enrique Wong Hernandez share the Qatar top student honours in International GCSE Spanish.

When asked about her amazing achievement in being awarded the world's highest mark, Samah showed modesty and maturity beyond her years, saying "well, Arabic is my mother tongue". Similarly, Maurice, Manya and Marcelo downplayed their outstanding academic results, as if they were an everyday occurrence.

Congratulations to our incredible students, their parents and teachers, who have shown that dedication to studies in an outstanding teaching and learning environment, can really pave the way for a bright future.
