This was our inaugural year of Model United Nations (MUN) at our school, and it has been tremendously successful! Students from Year 7 to Year 12 participated, strengthening our team with each conference. We competed across Qatar and clinched awards at RGS, Parkhouse, and DC MUN conferences. A major highlight was participating in THIMUN, Qatar’s largest MUN conference, where our students engaged in debates on global issues with peers from international schools. It’s been a thrilling year, and we eagerly anticipate further growth and achievements in the upcoming year!

Our Yearbook — a tribute to the unforgettable moments and achievements of this school year — is coming together beautifully! Today, we’re thrilled to reveal the results of our Yearbook Cover Design Competition. 🎨✨
A huge congratulations to Mariam Tehman (7B), whose outstanding design has been selected to grace the cover. Her creativity brings a unique and meaningful flair to this year’s edition.
We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to Abeeha Batool (7C), our talented runner-up, for her remarkable artistic effort and enthusiasm.
Awards were presented by Mr Brendan McCann, our Assistant Head of Secondary.

Qatar Animal Welfare Society @qataranimalwelfaresociety came to visit DBS Rawdat to talk about animal care, what the shelter do, how to care for animals and animal safety. This is in addition to the donation drive for the animals and the adoption poster activity to help the hundreds of animals currently in their care!

A group of children have been taking part in the ChallengeMe Maths competition @challengeme_mena this year, and Ghassan (6D) made it through to the finals! He travelled to Dubai on Saturday, 19th April, and completed various maths-related challenges. He finished in bronze, earning himself a place among the top 100 students in his category. 📚 World Book Day: Secondary Students Inspire Young Readers
As part of this year’s World Book Day celebrations, selected students from Years 8 to 11 visited primary classrooms to read aloud to younger pupils. It was a heartwarming experience that allowed our secondary students to share their love of stories and connect across age groups.
A huge thank you to the primary team for welcoming them so warmly – and well done to all the students who took part with such enthusiasm!
