Doha British School had the privilege of welcoming Karen Wilding, a world renowned maths expert. During her visit, Karen visited various classrooms within the school to work with children and staff on developing their maths skills, and supporting teachers in developing their pedagogical knowledge. A number of members of staff also attended her additional training at Rawdat, it was a fantastic opportunity for the school, and the teachers are excited to implement the strategies and pedagogy within their teaching and learning. At the inaugural Proud of You event held at the MoEHE, Dr. Luke Cheater, Head of Primary at DBS Ain Khaled, and four students from Doha British School embraced the power of Comparative Judgement (by No More Marking) to strategically assess writing standards. This assessment is conducted both internally, to drive sustainable improvement, and externally, to benchmark against other international schools globally. This process allows for partnerships with other leading international schools and supports student analysis so that they can identify areas for individual improvement.
